($20) Good deep ruby-red. Aromas of dark cherry, licorice, bitter chocolate and violet. Suave and intense, with strong berry, plum and brown spice flavors. Offers an enticing combination of juiciness and concentration. More gripping and serious than the 2006 Winemaker's Selection. Finishes rather suave, with firm tannins and very good length.
