($60) Bright medium ruby. Dark berries, spices, licorice and tarragon on the nose, plus a note of sweet butter. Offers more stuffing than the basic SMD bottling but the medicinal dark fruit flavors are a bit unrefined. Finishes with dusty, slightly drying tannins.
