($65) Bright ruby-red. Cassis, black cherry, tar and licorice on the nose. Supple and minty on entry, then a bit tough in the middle, with modest complexity. Doesn't quite capture the potential sweetness of the vintage. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and a medicinal quality.
