($28; includes 5% each cabernet franc and merlot and 2% each malbec and petit verdot) Good ruby-red. Currant, tobacco and smoke on the nose, complicated by licorice, mint and fresh herbs. Supple, moderately ripe flavors of currant, tobacco leaf and black olive; nicely open-knit, sweet wine that should offer considerable early appeal. Finishes with broad, dusty, slightly drying tannins. When I mentioned black olive to winemaker Janssens, she said that to Mondavi that's a sign that the wine is not jammy.

I bought this bottle brought it home opened it up poured it in the decanter let it breath, about 30 minutes. Poured a glass, took a sip WOW i think it is a wonderful full body cab, tastes of oak and on the finish notes of spice. A wonderful and Smooth Finish, i personaly would recommend every time you buy one you collect one for later...

From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon built its reputation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Here, in the district of Medoc, the varietal is the key component of blended wines that also may include some Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and even Malbec and Petit Verdot. Moving slightly south, Cabernet Sauvignon meets Merlot in roughly equal proportions in the red wines of Graves. In both of these Bordeaux regions, the top bottles...
