($125) Good bright ruby-red. Blackberry, blueberry, licorice and leather on the nose, with a suggestion of cherry liqueur. Dense but light on its feet, offering lovely depth of cherry, licorice and leather flavor. Wonderfully vinous wine; this really vibrates in the mouth. Cathy Corison makes wines for the long haul, and this one should evolve for at least a decade or two. The crop level here was two tons per acre in this copious vintage; in '04 and '06 it was more like 1.25, according to Corison.
