($24) Ruby-red. Cassis and a nutty nuance on the nose. Very unforthcoming in the mouth, with some evident minerality but also a suggestion of old wood. This will clearly become nebbiolo-like as it ages. Finishes with a slightly dry edge to the tannins. There's a roundness here but I find this a cipher today; perhaps I caught it on an awkward day. Judgment deferred.
