92 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2009

($45; 85% tempranillo, 10% mazuelo and 5% graciano) Opaque ruby. Complex nose offers blackcurrant, dried rose, anise and pungent fresh herbs. At once suave and firm, with deep, medicinal cherry and dark berry flavors and a restrained sweetness. Solid and serious Rioja, with excellent finishing clarity and lingering notes of bitter cherry and candied rose. Give this some air, or cellar time.
