($65) Light yellow. Restrained, mineral-driven white peach and quince on the nose. Taut and focused, with racy pit fruit and pear flavors and a suggestion of anise. Nothing exotic about this. There's real power and concentration here but the wine needs time to open up. I really like this understated, rather brooding style.
