Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Green gold. Smoky, mineral-dominated aromas of yellow plum, melon, peach pit and graphite, with a zesty citrus overlay. Taut and deeply concentrated, offering fresh pit fruit and citrus flavors complemented by exotic anise and floral pastille. This remarkable bottling showed the longest finish of any Condrieu I tasted this year. This gets the same elevage as the Chaillees de l'Enfer, according to Christine Vernay.
