2006 Peter Michael Winery Sauvignon Blanc L'Apres-Midi Sonoma County

Appropriately enough, Sir Peter Michael, an Englishman who made his name in electronics, established his vineyard in Sonoma County's Knights Valley.  For years, these wines have been among the New World's finest Chardonnays. They feature wonderfully deep, layered flavors and outstanding clarity and verve. We've personally mistaken them for top white Burgundies in blind tastings. Pinot Noir is also high quality here, along with the Les Pavots Bordeaux-styled red.
