($62; 15% alcohol) Medium green-yellow. Opulent, expressive aromas of cantaloupe, honey and minerals. Black pepper, tobacco, flint and lichee flavors coat the mouth. In spite of its high alcohol, the wine's substantial acid structure is vibrant enough to give structure and harmony to this monumental wine. An impressively long and convincing veltliner with tremendous aging potential. Drink from 2010 through 2028.
