Yellow-gold. Exotic, strongly perfumed bouquet evokes apricot, honey, spun sugar and dried flowers. Sappy and deeply concentrated, with powerful pit fruit flavors and a late note of lime zest. Wild stuff, with impressive back-end lift and finishing minerality. This doesn't want to let go of your palate. Would be great with washed rind or blue cheeses.

Try this blend of 90% Roussane and 10% Viognier from California's Santa Ynez Valley. The gold tone color and explosive bouquet suggests a rich multi-layered wine and the taste and long finish confirms that impression produced by Rhone varietal specialist Stolpman Vineyards. Their Syrahs are also recommended.
