($88) Light gold. Pungent, room-filling aromas of honeyed pear, peach, blood orange, lavender and smoky agave cactus; this smells like high-end tequila. Intensely minerally and extremely deep, offering highly concentrated citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a complex undercurrent of smoky herbs and minerals. Finishes with outstanding thrust. As distinctive and soil-driven a white wine as I tasted this year.
