2006 Cantina Tramin Gewurztraminer Nussbaumer Alto Adige

Pale straw-yellow with a hint of green. Vibrant, highly aromatic nose of rose petal, white peach, minerals, vanilla and spices manages to come across as remarkably restrained and elegant. Fresh and crisp on the palate, with pink grapefruit and tangerine flavors in the forefront, and ginger cookie, white peach and lime mounting on the back. Finishes long and light, with a distinctly floral quality. As I've said before, this is one of the world's most elegant interpretations of the grape, and still my choice as the best gewurztraminer made in Italy today.
