93 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2008

($144) Subtly complex aromas of peach, minerals and hazelnut. Then powerful and precise in the mouth, with terrific density of texture cut by strong acidity. A strong nut oil character contributes to the impression of dry extract. I get less of an impression of alcohol here than with the Referts. Finishes with a note of marzipan, and terrific lift, grip and length. Boudot ranks this among the best vintages for Combettes, along with the 2005 and 1992.
