More About This Wine
About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2006 Domaine William Fevre Chablis
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
88 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2008
($30) Very pale, green-tinged color. Fresh nose suggests oyster shell. In a distinctly fruity style but not exotic. Hints of mint and spice leaven the wine's sweetness. Finishes fruity and firm, coming across as drier on the end than the young 2007. Indeed, notes winemaker Seguier, these 2006s finished quite dry as a rule, because the early-picked grapes were in excellent health.
