89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March/April 2007

($20; a blend of 52% semillon, 22% chardonnay, 19% sauvignon blanc and 7% muscat; aged 11 months in new and used French barriques Medium yellow. Complex nose melds dried stone fruits, smoke and honey, plus a whiff of more tropical fruits. Concentrated, sexy wine but a bit youthfully tight and ungiving today owing to its apparent acidity. A bit of residual sugar (5.1 g/l) softens the wine's edge, though. Finishes with a nutty nuance.
