Good ruby-red. Smoky black raspberry, chocolate, tobacco and a whiff of iron on the nose. Silky, pliant and rather easygoing, with good depth to the flavors of red berries, tobacco and iron. Finishes with supple tannins, good vinosity and sneaky length. This isn't as thick as the 2005 but I find it more refined.
