($22) Pale yellow. Muscat-like orange and peach on the nose, with subtle herbal, floral and anise qualities adding complexity. Weighty, sweet melon and pit fruit flavors are given a bitter edge by citrus marmalade and quinine qualities, picking up some heat on the back end. This big, rich and rather atypical verdelho would prove challenging to pair with food.
