Very Nice Wine for the Price
I was suprised how good this wine is and will definately buy it again.
Doggone this was worth the dare.
I will serve this for my new house warming party.
So I will stock my wine cellar.
LOVE IT !!!!
my husband was given a bottle as a tip for some work, WONDERFUL!
Terrific chardonnay for this price ...
and with sufficient dryness and acid.
I'm glad I took this dare
At 3.99 this is such a good value. Don't get me wrong, I don't plan on making this the wine I serve at Thanksgiving next year, but it is a decent wine for the price. It has enough to it that you know it is a Cabernet, but it does not taste alcoholic. Probably only deserves 3 stars, but I gave it 4 because of the price.
You are the lucky finder of a hidden gem
I can't believe there are no notes on those reviews. Okay. A 4 star cab for 4 bucks? Look at it this way. Spend the 4 bucks and try it. I guarantee that you will be going back to pick up a case (for under $50). Be forwarned. This wine is not one of those big cali-cabs. It drinks more like Pinot Noir, and actually finished smoother than some of the overpriced Pinots I've tasted. DO NOT TAKE MY WORD - TRY IT!!!
An unremarkable wine, but reasonably good for the price. Will purchase it again but not for special occasions.
Nice for the price
Very pleasant, easy drinking wine. For less than four dollars it can't be beat. I would definitely recommend both the cab and the merlot as great values.
I can't understand why this wine is so cheap, I've higher priced wine's that I would not buy again but I'll buy this one time after time.
Hey for the $ it satisfies. Decent flavor. Good one for week night dinners then take savings and spend a little more for that special weekend bottle.
This puppy ran away from 2-buck Chuck!
I bought this expecting to get a good snob sneer, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's light bodied for a cab, more like a Pinot Noir. A hint of vegetable and berry in the nose, and in the taste with light fruit and smooth tannins, clean finish. Not much complexity, but no off-flavors either. A pleasant vin ordinaire for your healthy glass-a-day. Pairs nicely with meatloaf.
Not a normal bold cab, but very good...more like a pinot noir with a hint of wood....it's a great wine to have a few bottles of on hand for when you just want a glass of good wine but don't want to open a $20 bottle.
What do you expect for a $2 bottle of wine?
I tried this after reading the reviews but this extremely fruit forward wine was not that great. Even for $2 I think I would pay twice that for a better bottle (like the Barefoot brand).
This one did absolutely nothing for me. So i learned a 4 dollar lesson, dont purchase again
Would rather stick my tongue to a flag pole
The first taste was good somewhat sweet and fruity with something strange about the after taste. By the third taste, I put the spout of the bottle in the sink. The lingering finish was something like the smell of spoiled shrimp left in the bottom of the boat for a few days. Ok, I took the dare. nothing ventured, nothing gained.I now know better.
I took the dare
I don't remember ever tasting a worse wine. Heck, it's only 4 bucks - what did I expect. Reminds me of what California wines used to be.
I Highly recommend this wine be served...
if your guests are already sauced, that way they won't be able to tell how bad it is. Spend a few more bucks and buy a decent low budget wine like Oak Grove, Fetzer or Finca Flichman. You will be amazed at the difference in complexity, smoothness and taste.
