($8; 65% monastrell and 35% syrah) Ruby-red. Smoky cherry and plum aromas show a meaty undertone. Chewy dark fruit flavors are deep and structured, with slow-building tannins carrying through the finish. Seems a bit brooding today. The organic wine is sweeter and more expressive at this stage.
