93(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2007

($190; for a magnum; same blend as for the 2004) Inky violet. Lively red berry and cassis on the nose, with a complex array of fresh floral and bright mineral qualities. Tightly wound at present, with concentrated, energetic dark fruit flavors, a youthfully tannic structure and a long, chewy finish. Shuts down with air but there's superb potential here.
