87(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2008

($15; 50% tempranillo and 25% each of merlot and cabernet sauvignon) Ruby-red. Initially reduced nose opens to show a deep dark berry personality. Ripe blackberry and cherry flavors are supported by solid tannins, which carry through the finish. Leaves a sweet impression, along with espresso and licorice qualities. This needs air.
