Saturated deep ruby. Deep, superripe aromas of candied raspberry, game, coffee, woodsmoke, scotch and clove. Silky, lush and expansive on the palate; concentrated flavors are sweet and minerally, and nicely framed by a crunchy note of bittersweet berry skin. Really explodes in the mouth and saturates the palate. Seems fully expressed already, but should last well in bottle.

Lots of layers of deep fruit as expected...but the tannins were just beginning to soften. After decanting and rest it was a great glass, but I'd rather have it again when it is balanced out of the bottle.
