(tasted from barrel) Bright ruby-red. Powerful nose suggests violet and chocolate, with less oak showing than in the 2005. Dense, chewy and compellingly deep for barbera; quite powerful but with lovely framing acidity. Offers terrific stuffing and structure. A superb young barbera in the making.
