93 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2007

($125; 93% cabernet franc, 5% merlot and 2% petit verdot) Deep ruby. Strikingly pure and exotically perfumed, with energetic cherry, cassis, tobacco and rose aromas. Dense and chewy but bright, offering wonderfully lucid dark fruit flavors and vivid minerality. Suave licorice and bitter cherry flavors stain the palate and carry through a long, pliant finish. Impressively complex cabernet franc, with enough sweetness for immediate gratification but the concentration and balance to repay cellaring.
