($38; 40% syrah, 31% mourvedre and 29% zinfandel) Deep ruby. Pungent blackberry and blueberry on the nose, with cracked pepper and dried floral qualities adding complexity. Impressively vibrant dark fruit flavors are braced by chewy tannins; finishes with good, sweet persistence. Pretty primal right now but very promising.
