($45) Light red. Stony red berries and cherry on the nose, with a light dusting of dried flowers adding complexity. Brisk red fruit flavors are complicated by bitter chocolate and cherry skin, picking up firm tannins with air. Gains weight and sweetness on the finish but this is ultimately a firm, very dry wine with a distinctly austere character.
