($105) Inky ruby. Smoky, deeply concentrated aromas of cassis, black cherry and Indian spices. Plush dark berry flavors pick up chewy tannins with air and gain weight too. A suave mineral quality arrives with aeration and adds focus and energy to the dense fruit. The spicy notes recur on the finish, which is broad, sweet and quite persistent. This is built to age.
