($10) Dark ruby. Roasted blackberry, dark chocolate, licorice, mocha, smoke and minerals on the slightly rustic nose. Suave on entry, then surprisingly supple and broad in the middle palate, offering ripe flavors of blackberry and herbs. A chewy, fat, slightly chunky style but not heavy. Finishes with ripe, chocolatey tannins and good persistence. No shortage of personality here.
