93 Points | International Wine Cellar , January/February 2008

($95; a 90/10 blend of malbec and cabernet sauvignon) Saturated bright ruby. Sexy, superripe aromas of black raspberry, mocha, licorice and nutty oak, lifted by a violet topnote. Sweet and dense but sappy, with superb depth of exotic black raspberry fruit. Wonderfully supple and creamy in the middle, with no edges showing, but also boasts excellent verve. This flamboyant and voluptuous wine finishes very long and gripping, with the ripe tannins reaching the front teeth. Paul Hobbs consults for this winery.
