($34) Inky ruby color. Smoky dark berries, cherry preserves, cocoa powder and vanilla on the nose. Lush, round and sweet, offering broad dark berry flavors of liqueur-like richness. Soft tannins add a bit of structure and help to rein in the powerful fruit. Clings like glue on the finish, repeating the dark berry and cocoa qualities. Fans of this sort of wine will find my score stingy.
