(the majority of vines here are in excess of 80 years of age, according to Pavelot; 25% new oak) Good deep red. Expressive nose shows an almost exotic aspect to the red fruit and leather aromas. Supple, rich and broad, with a creamy sweetness I did not notice in the foregoing samples. Finishes sweet and long, with substantial but ripe tannins. A serious Savigny wine, made from a crop level of about 40 hectoliters per hectare.
