About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

($190) Bright gold. A complex bouquet offers pineapple, white peach and magnolia, with hints of vanilla and brown sugar in the background. Fleshy pit and tropical fruit flavors provide very good palate coverage and pick up smokiness and spiciness with air. The finish exhibits excellent persistence along with a refreshingly bitter note of pear skin.
