2006 Anthill Farms Syrah Windsor Oaks Vineyard Russian River Valley

Inky ruby. Powerfully scented yet ultimately suave bouquet of raspberry, blackberry and candied cherry complemented by cracked pepper and incense. Fleshy and deep, with sweet red and dark berry flavors, silky tannins and hints of bitter chocolate and mocha. Firms up with air but maintains a forward, fruit-dominated personality and finishes with excellent lift and clarity. I'd give this a couple of years in the cellar.
