About Bethel Heights Vineyard
A family operation through and through, this Willamette Valley vineyard has been run by the Casteel—Dudley—Webb family conglomerate since 1977. It’s a testament to the possibilities of cooperation that 11, yes 11, family members are currently co-owners of the vineyard. There is also a profound respect for the environment here. Ted Casteel, one of the vineyard’s founders, also co-founded the Low Input Viticulture and Enology certification program for sustainable viticulture.

($60) Vivid red. Smoky cherry-vanilla, sassafras and underbrush aromas are strikingly seductive. Lush, creamy dark fruit compote flavors offer excellent palate coverage, with a bright orange peel bite adding lift. Inviting and delicious now.
