($289) Light, bright gold with a steady bead. Orange, ripe pear, red berries and white flowers on the nose, with complementary notes of lemon, honey, sweet butter and smoky minerals. Ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors are braced by gentle minerality, picking up subtle baking spice and buttered toast notes with air. Surprisingly generous at this stage, with smoky mineral and floral qualities on the finish. This is more open-knit than the comparatively elegant 2000 and appears ready to drink.

Good stuff, but for an even better sip, try the Cristal-light. $3.99 at Publix and it makes a whole pitcher.

Because of it's heritage as the champaigne of the Russian Czars and it's limited production, it has stayed so overly priced. This a super-brut from the region of Reims, France. If you are not into super dry wines this is not for you. This champaigne has very consistant color and bubble pattern that is 1st class. There is a suttle taste of honey and white chocolate in Cristal. If you are unsure of spending close to 200 dollars for champaigne try Dom Perignon for half the cost. It has the same level of dryness, consistancy of color and bubbles, but it is more Chardonnay than Pinot Meunier (less fruitful)

One of the worst champagnes ive ever tasted, way too dry and overpriced. If rappers didnt talk about this stuff it would cost $8 a case...
