($43) Deep, bright-rimmed purple. Very fresh bouquet of spicy dark berries, violet, smoky minerals and bacon fat. Brilliantly focused and pure, with lively cassis and candied blackberry flavors, zesty minerality and mounting spiciness. Finishes with excellent vivacity and a blast of cracked pepper, leaving candied violet in its wake. Lovely stuff, and very attractive already.
