($53-$70) Good bright medium gold. Aromas of pineapple and curry powder, with a strong component of vanillin oak. Very sweet and thick without coming off as heavy thanks to high-pitched orange peel and baking spice notes, and to sneaky, palate-energizing acidity. Not yet especially complex but very promising. The overall impression is of a more classic wine than this ch a teau has made in some recent vintages, less dominated by its sweetness.
