Bright red. Aromas of redcurrant, iron and dried herbs. Sweet, supple red fruit and iron flavors are lifted by peppery and fresh citrus elements, along with a suggestion of exotic fruits. Nicely plump and gentle, finishing moderately long and uncomplicated. Drink this now, even slightly chilled, with pizza, pasta or simple barbecue fare.

Very drinkable, its excellent value earns it an extra star.

This is a great wine to drink with red meat or cheese, but NOT tomato sauces or pasta. It needs more time than most to open up, but when it does, it has nice dark cherry flavors. A good value.
