1985 Domaine Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie Cote Blonde

Thanks in large part to inheriting superb parcels of old vines from his uncles Marius Gentaz-Dervieux and Albert Dervieux-Thaize, Rene Rostaing has emerged as an important vineyard owner in Côte-Rôtie. These are aromatically complex, rich, spicy wines that can be among the most flamboyant representatives of their appellation. One recent trend here is a decrease in the amount of new oak being used in the cellar.
