About Chehalem

Almost thirty years ago Harry Peterson-Nedry began scouting potential vineyard locations in Oregon's burgeoning wine country. He soon discovered what's now called Ribbon Ridge, an ancient, uniform sedimentary hillside at the extreme western end of the Chehalem Mountains. This is a very clean, crisp wine. I enjoyed it very much and would be perfect as an alternative to a hot, summer day. The NZ wines are all tasting the same and can be very sharp, bitter at times. This was nice and would buy it again. Wish it was cheaper however.

lovely wine for all your summer dinners. As with most wines that come from the Willamette Valley, worth the ordering on line and paying the shipping!

It is a lovely white with a surprising floral finish that really speaks to the terroir of the grape. I agree with the pear and spice, plus nice aromatics, this is a great value.

Pinot Gris (aka Pinot Grigio)

Pinot Gris, called Pinot Grigio in Italy, is a noble variety that, unfortunately, doesn't always produce highly refined wine. At its best, in Alsace, where it's usually called Tokay Pinot Gris, the wines are extremely rich and honeyed, in either...
