Ripeness and sweet oak are the governing traits of this very rich and wide-open wine, and it is more geared to dark chocolate and caramelly sweetness than it is to classic Cabernet fruit. That said, it is positively plush on the palate with extract to spare, so much so, in fact, as to make its hard turn to tannin and heat an acceptable sin. Those who demand varietal precision will be less than happy, but unrepentant fans of opulent reds are certain to find lots to like here as well.
Bright ruby-red. Aromas of cassis, spicecake and bitter chocolate, with a strong component of sweet, nutty oak. Lush, full and sweet, with black fruit, dark chocolate and graphite flavors dominating. Finishes with big, broad, mouthdusting tannins that coat the front teeth. There's no reason not to enjoy this cabernet now but it should evolve nicely for five or six years.

Smells and tastes like a good Cab should. Fruity and long, I just love this wine.
