About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2007 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Bougros Cote Bouguerots

Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis

($80; domaine wine) Green-tinged yellow. Steely aromas of lime, ginger, crushed stone and menthol. Densely packed, rocky and closed but not at all hard, with a tactile, saline texture and impressive volume for the year. This spicy, stony grand cru really spreads out to saturate the palate on the back end.
