About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2007 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Beauroy

Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
87-89 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2008
(just racked; from a parcel facing full south) Somewhat stunted, firm nose hints at minerals. Then fat and sweet in the mouth, in a distinctly more pliant style than the village wine, showing less grip today. And yet this is also less evolved at present, and finishes with solid minerality. These vines have a tendency to throw a big crop, notes winemaker Seguier, and the wine normally needs a couple years of bottle aging to express itself.
