About Domaine Louis Michel
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.

($46; this and the previous wines were bottled in September of 2008) Very closed nose hints at menthol. Broad and supple but quite dry, with notes of wet stone and banana. Plenty of stuffing here but inexpressive and uncompromising today. There's something almost wild about this wine from clay-based soil.
