($55; 64% zinfandel and 18% each of mourvedre and syrah) Vivid red color. Wide-open, red-fruit dominated nose is complicated by Asian spices and smoky minerals; there's a pinot-like elegance to this that I find pretty alluring. Sweet raspberry and candied cherry flavors are gently firmed by dusty tannins, which also add back-end grip. Finishes with impressive clarity and no rough edges. This is admirably graceful and balanced.
