($21; 100% nero d'Avola) Very dark color. Musky aromas of red berries and espresso. A rather thick, modern style but with sound acidity to lift the smoky red berry flavors and prevent the wine from coming off as flat. Not especially complex but offers good sweetness of fruit and generosity of texture. Finishes with chewy ripe tannins and a vanillin note from the oak.
