(a blend of nero d'Avola and syrah) Dark red. Brooding aromas of brown spices, dried flowers, underbrush and ink, along with a cola-like quality. Medium to full in the mouth, with very good volume, this turns spicier and more brisk with air, picking up a mineral tang. The sweet finish features noticeable tannins. Not quite the complexity or length for an outstanding rating.
