Ruby black. Spicy aromas of red berries, tobacco and mint benefit from a pretty mineral nuance that gives this wine a more refined quality than the Solyss. Enters the mouth rich and smooth, with bright acids giving lift to the red berry and mineral flavors. Pure, sharply focused and still youthfully unevolved, this is a more restrained style of zinfandel but one with sneaky concentration.
